Coexistence of more generations in the eyes of secondary-school students

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou stěžejních částí – teoretické a empirické. Náplň teoretické části tvořila témata: rodina (její definice, funkce, typy rodinného uspořádání, životní cyklus rodiny a náhled do historického vývoje evropské rodiny), vícegenerační rodina (mezigenerační vztahy v rodině, typy a lokální aspekty vícegeneračního soužití), ontogeneze mezigeneračních vztahů v rodině, senior v rodině (charakteristika a hlavní aspekty stárnutí a stáří, úloha rodiny v životě seniora) a středoškolák. Empirická část práce si klade dva hlavní cíle: pomocí kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření se seznámit s názorem středoškoláků na vícegenerační soužití – zejména na jeho výhodnost pro jednotlivé generace v rodině a zmapovat sociální situaci mezi středoškoláky a jejich prarodiči.

Abstract:

The thesis is divided into two fundamental parts – theoretical and empiric. Contents of this theoretical part is made up of these topics: family (its definition, function, types of family structures, life cycle of the family and insight into historical evolution of an European family), multi-generation family (multi-generation relationships in a family, types and local aspects of multi-generation coexistence), ontogenesis of multi-generation relationships in a family, a senior in a family (characteristics and main aspects of ageing and old age, the role in life of a senior) and a secondary school student. The empiric part of the thesis has two aims: to familiarize with secondary school students´ opinions on multi-generation coexistence – based on a questionnaire, especially its advantage for individual generations in a family and to map social situation between secondary school students and their grandparents.
