Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá život imigrantů z jižní Asie do Spojených států amerických, jak je zobrazen v souboru povídek Tlumočník nemocí napsaných jednou z nejvýznačnějších etnických spisovatelek posledních let, Jhumpou Lahiri. Po podání nástinu historického pozadí imigrace z této části Asie do USA, obecných znaků jihoasijské diaspory a také života samotné spisovatelky se tato práce věnuje studiu …more
