Non-metric traits and musculoskeletal markers of Moravian Hutterites from Přibice

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na hodnocení nemetrických znaků a popis muskuloskeletálních stresových markerů na skeletech 101 jedinců z novokřtěnské-ho pohřebiště v Přibicích, vyzvednutých během výzkumu hřbitova mezi léty 2018-2021. Nemetrické/epigenetické znaky byly využity k intra a interpopulačnímu srov-nání a následně k nastínění možných příbuzenských vazeb mezi pohřbenými jedinci. Na základě muskuloskeletárních markerů byl debatován možný vliv každodenních činností novokřtěnců ze dvora v Přibicích a jejich pravděpodobná aktivita. Tato stu-die byla vypracována pouze na části kosterního souboru, neboť výzkum pohřebiště stále probíhá a není k dispozici celá místní populace. Získané výsledky jsou tedy předběžné a budou v budoucnu doplněné o další analýzy tak, aby byly reprezenta-tivní pro celou přibickou populaci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of non-metric traits and description of musculoskeletal stress markers on the skeletons of 101 individuals from the Newly Babtized burial site in Přibice, collected during the cemetery research between 2018-2021. Non-metric/epigenetic traits were used for intra and interpopulation comparisons and subsequently to outline possible kinship between buried individu-als. Based on musculoskeletal markers, the possible influence of the daily activities of the newly baptized people from the Přibice court and their likely activity were debated. This study has been carried out on only part of the skeletal assemblage, as research on the burial site is still ongoing and the entire local population is not yet available. Therefore, the results obtained are preliminary and will be supplemented by further analyses in the future to be representative of the entire Přibice popula-tion.
