Kindergarten Teacher's Experience with Prevention and Health Protection of Preschool Children in Case of Infectious Diseases

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce je teoreticko-empirického charakteru. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaké zkušenosti mají učitelé s prevencí a ochranou zdraví dětí předškolního věku z hlediska přenosu a šíření infekčních onemocnění v prostředí mateřských škol. Teoretická část práce vymezuje pojmy související s tématem prevence a ochrany zdraví, dále se věnuje epidemiologickým opatřením, která jsou nezbytná z hlediska předcházení šíření infekčních onemocnění a pojednává o postavení MŠ a učitele MŠ v kontextu prevence a ochrany zdraví dětí. Empirická část práce využívá kvantitativní design výzkumu a prezentuje výsledky výzkumného šetření, které bylo provedeno prostřednictvím dotazníku pro učitele mateřských škol. Výzkumný soubor tvoří učitelé a učitelky mateřských škol ČR. Výsledky výzkumu naznačují, jaká opatření učitelé MŠ nejčastěji uplatňují z hlediska prevence šíření nákaz v prostředí mateřských škol, s jakými překážkami se potýkají při jejich uplatňování a jak vnímají důležitost výchovy ke zdraví v kontextu prevence a ochrany zdraví dětí. Na závěr empirické části je provedena interpretace získaných výsledků a následné shrnutí závěrů výzkumu. Jsou zde také formulována doporučení pro praxi, která mohou významnou měrou přispět ke zlepšení situace z hlediska předcházení šíření infekcí v prostředí mateřských škol.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis is of theoretical-empirical character. The aim of this thesis is to find out what experiences teachers have with the prevention and health protection of preschool children in terms of transmission and spread of infectious diseases in the kindergarten environment. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concepts related to the topic of prevention and health protection, then discusses the epidemiological measures that are necessary in terms of preventing the spread of infectious diseases and discusses the position of the kindergarten and kindergarten teacher in the context of prevention and health protection of children. The empirical part of the thesis uses a quantitative research design and presents the results of a survey conducted through a questionnaire for kindergarten teachers. The research sample consists of teachers of kindergartens in the Czech Republic. The results of the research indicate what measures are most frequently applied by kindergarten teachers in terms of preventing the spread of diseases in the kindergarten environment, what obstacles they face in their application, and how they perceive the importance of health education in the context of prevention and protection of children's health. At the end of the empirical part, the interpretation of the obtained results and the subsequent summary of the research findings are presented. Recommendations for practice are also formulated, which can significantly contribute to improving the situation in terms of preventing the spread of infections in the kindergarten environment.
