The use of the address pronouns tu, voi and Lei in Italian

Abstract:

The present thesis is focused on addressing people in Italian. It follows the development of the forms used t oaddressing people from Latin up to the modern Italian. The work is focused on theoretical part of the development and is enriched by passages taken from Italian literature. The whole chapter is devoted to the period since Cinquecento, that had an important impact on the use of addressing pronouns in Italian. The last chapter deals with 20th century and modern Italian, with the differences between the South and the North and with the impact of fascism, use of Internet and mobile phones on addressing forms in Italian.

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o formách tykání a vykání v italštině. Sleduje vývoj zájmen a jejich použití od latiny až po současnou italštinu. Práce je zaměřena na teoretickou stránku výoje a doplněna praktickými ukázkami z italské literatury. Zvláštní kapitola je věnovaná období od Cinquecenta, které mělo významný vliv na použití forem vykání v italštině. Poslední kapitola pak pojednává o 20. století a moderní italštině, rozdílu mezi severní a jižní Itálií a o dopadu období fašismu, internetu a mobilních telefonů na tykání a vykání v italštině.
