The change of priorities of the local policy in Brno after the elections 2010

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o komunální politice ve Statutárním městě Brně. Cílem práce je posouzení změn priorit komunální politiky po volbách do zastupitelstva města v roce 2010. Východiskem je porovnání výsledků voleb z roku 2006 a 2010 a jejich faktického dopadu na utváření vládnoucích koalic. Velká pozornost je věnována předvolebním kampaním, výsledkům voleb a následnému povolebnímu vyjednávání, které vedlo k vytvoření velké koalice ČSSD a ODS pro funkční období 2010-2014. Stěžejní část práce se zaměřuje na analýzu priorit zanesených do textu smlouvy o koaliční spolupráci. Pozornost je věnována dopravě, hospodaření a rozvoji města, zdravotní a bytové politice.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with local politics in a statutory city of Brno. The aim is to evaluate the changes of priorities in local policy after the municipal elections in 2010. The starting point is to compare the election results of 2006 and 2010 and their actual impact on the formation of the ruling coalition. Great attention is paid to the election campaigns, election results and subsequent post-election negotiations that led to the creation of a grand coalition of the ČSSD and the ODS for term 2010-2014. The main part of the analysis focuses on the priorities, which have been entered into the text of coalition agreement. Attention is paid to traffic, financial management and urban development, health and housing policy.
