Abstract:

Práce se věnuje internímu auditu a jeho výkonu v podmínkách společnosti Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group. Nejdříve jsou rozebrány základní aspekty interního auditu, jako je historie a definice interního auditu a obecné požadavky na jeho výkon. Dále jsou popsány hlavní profesní organizace sdružující interní auditory v rámci České republiky, certifikace prokazující odborné znalosti interního auditu v různých oblastech a mezinárodně uznávaná koncepce interního auditu v podobě Mezinárodního rámce profesní praxe interního auditu. Podrobně rozebrána je legislativa České republiky a Evropské unie týkající se výkonu interního auditu v oblasti pojišťovnictví. Praktická část práce začíná představením společnosti Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group a přiblížením útvaru zabezpečující v dané společnosti interní audit. Poté jsou popsány exaktní postupy a metody užívané tímto útvarem. Dále práce pojednává o komunikaci útvaru vykonávající interní audit s vedením a jinými útvary společnosti a o spolupráci útvaru interního auditu s externím auditorem a dalšími subjekty, které mají vliv na interní audit v pojišťovnictví. Práce poté popisuje vliv interního auditu na finanční řízení a finanční stabilitu společnosti. Poslední část práce se věnuje autorovým návrhům vedoucím ke zlepšení výkonu interního auditu společnosti. Práce může sloužit k pochopení základní problematiky výkonu interního auditu v sektoru pojišťovnictví.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with internal audit and its performance in conditions of Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group. Firstly the basic aspects of the internal audit such as history, internal audit definition and general requirements for its performance are discussed. Further main professional organizations associating internal auditors in the Czech Republic, expert knowledge certifications and internationally accepted concept of internal audit in the form of the International Professional Practices Framework are described. Thesis analyse in detail the legislation of the Czech Republic and the European Union regarding the performance of the internal audit in the insurance industry. Practical part of the thesis presents the Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group and describes its department ensuring the company's internal audit. Further the exact procedures and methods used by the internal audit department are described. The thesis also deals with the communication between the internal audit department and the management, other departments of the company and the cooperation of the department with the external auditor and other entities that have an impact on the internal audit in the insurance sector. The thesis hereafter describes the influence of internal audit on the financial management and the financial stability of the company. The last part is devoted to the author's suggestions leading to the improvement of the company's internal audit. The thesis can be used to understand the basic issues of the internal audit in the insurance sector.
