Dental prevention and training of dental hygiene at pre-school children.

Abstract:

Podstatou mé bakalářské práce bylo zjištění stavu chrupu u dětí předškolního věku a zjištění průměrného počtu zubních kazů u dětí této věkové kategorie. Dále jsem formou dotazníku zjišťovala, jaký mají rodiče sledovaných dětí přístup k problematice zubní prevence a k dentální hygieně. Na základě výsledků průzkumu jsem zjistila, že stav chrupu dětí předškolního věku je stále neuspokojivý. V porovnání s údaji z roku 2005 sice došlo ke zlepšení stavu chrupu, ale k naplnění stanovených cílů Světovou zdravotnickou organizací v programu " Zdraví pro všechny`` (dosažení 80% intaktního chrupu u dětí ve věku pěti let), je nutné do péče o chrup předškolních dětí intenzivněji zahrnout primárně preventivní individuální a skupinová opatření. Stále mnoho rodičů je nedostatečně informováno ze strany stomatologa o významu prevence a dentální hygieně, což také vypovídá o tom, že rodiče dostatečně o prevenci nedbají. Ke zlepšení stavu chrupu může významně přispět také mateřská škola, ovšem za předpokladu, že pedagogičtí pracovníci budou dostatečně informováni o stomatologické prevenci a výchova k zubnímu zdraví bude ve větší míře obsažena ve Školních vzdělávacích programech.

Abstract:

The basis of my bachelor´s thesis has been to find the conditions of dentition of pre-school children and to find the average amount of tooth decay of children in this age group. By using the form I have been finding out the access to the problems of dental prevention of children´s parents who were monitored. On the basis of the research results I have found the conditions of dentition of pre-school children to be extremely unsatisfactory. In comparison to data from year 2005 the conditions of dentition have reached the improvement, but to realize the WHO targets in programm "Health for everyone`` (reaching 80% of intact dentition of children up to the the age of five), it is prime necessary to include very intensively the preventative measures and cooperative precaution into the care of children´s dentition. Many parents are still not informed enough about the meaning of prevention and dental hygiene, what also predicate about that, that parents do not care of the prevention sufficiently. Nursery school can significantly contribute to dentition improvement indeed, providing that teachers will be informed about dental prevention sufficiently and also that the education to the dental health will be more included into the School Education Programmes.
