The influence of geopolitics on the development of world trade

Abstract:

Práce vliv geopolitiky na vývoj světového obchodu usiluje o teoretickou konceptualizaci vývoje a změn režimu obchodu zboží a služby od konce druhé světové války po r. 2022. Práce vychází ze dvou dominantních teorií mezinárodních vztahů – z neorealismu a teorie interdependence. V teoretické části jsou představeny jejich hlavní přínosy a nedostatky. Na jejich základě je pak zformulován nový přístup ke konceptualizaci politické ekonomie s důrazem obchodu zboží a služby na geo-ekonomii. Teorie interdependence je testována prostřednictvím výpočtu vzorce symetrie/asymetrie mezi importéry a exportéry zboží a služby, který je vyvozen ze srovnávání vzájemných obchodních podílů v době změn režimu obchodu. Teorie neorealismu a konceptuální přístup k politické ekonomii obchodu zboží a služby jsou pak zkoumány prostřednictvím detailních případových studií, které se zaměřují na to, jak se importéři a exportéři snažili využít obchod zboží a služby ke svým mocenským zájmům. Práce přichází se závěrem, podle kterého vliv geopolitiky je součástí širší geopolitiky a geoekonomie vzájemně si konkurujících a kooperujících států na vývoj světového obchodu v anarchické struktuře mezinárodního politického systému a v hierarchické struktuře mezinárodní dělby práce světového systému kapitalistické ekonomiky.

Abstract:

The work, the influence of geopolitics on the development of world trade, strives for a theoretical conceptualization development and changes in the regime of trade in goods and services from the end of the Second World War to 2022. The work is based on two dominant theories of international relations - neorealism and theory interdependence. In the theoretical part, their main benefits and shortcomings are presented. On their based on that, a new approach to the conceptualization of political economy with emphasis is formulated trade in goods and services on the geo-economy. The theory of interdependence is tested by calculating the symmetry/asymmetry formula between importers and exporters of goods and services, which is derived from comparing each other trading shares at the time of changes in the trade regime. Neorealism theory and conceptual approach to the political economy of trade in goods and services are then examined through detailed case studies that focus on how importers and exporters have sought to exploit trade in goods and services to their powerful interests. The work comes to the conclusion that the influence of geopolitics is part of a wider geopolitics and geo-economics of competing and cooperating states on the development of world trade v in the anarchic structure of the international political system and in the hierarchical structure of the international division of labor of the world system of the capitalist economy.
