Use of Social Media by Adolescents During the Covid - 19 Pandemic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice využívání internetu a sociálních sítí adolescenty v období pandemie Covid - 19. Úvod teoretické části popisuje adolescenty, dále média a mediální výchovu a její význam při využívání on-line prostoru. Další část je zaměřena na internet a sociální sítě. Popsány jsou jednotlivé sociální sítě, jejich historie, obsah a zaměření. Následná kapitola je cílena na pandemii Covid - 19, charakterizuje jak samotnou pandemii, tak také vliv pandemických opatření na současnou dospívající generaci. Praktická část navazuje na teoretické poznatky, zabývá se průzkumem, jak adolescenti využívají internet a sociální sítě v době pandemie, zda vnímají bonusy a případná negativa po-bytu na těchto platformách. K šetření byla zvolena kvalitativní metoda výzkumu formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Analýza těchto rozhovorů nastínila, jak adolescenti využívají internet a sociální sítě v době pandemie a jejich postoje k daným platformám.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the use of the internet and social networks of adolescents during the pandemic Covid - 19. The introduction to the theoretical part describes adolescents, as well as media, media education and its importance in the use of online space. The next part is focused on the internet and social networks. This section describes social networks, history, content and focus. The following chapter focuses on the Covid - 19 pandemic, characterizes the pandemic itself and affects the pandemic measures for the current adolescent generation. The practical part is based on theoretical findings, deals with a survey how adolescents use the internet and social networks during a pandemic, whether they perceive bonuses and the possible negative nature of staying on these platforms. A qualitative research method in the form of semi-structured interviews was chosen for the survey. The analysis of these interviews outlined how adolescents use the internet and social networks during a pandemic and their attitudes towards the platforms.
