The Valašské Meziříčí Region - development of public transport services after the establishment of The Zlín Region

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat dopravní obslužnost v regionu Valašskomeziříčsko a zachytit její změny v průběhu let/v posledních dvaceti letech. Analýza je založena na detailním zkoumání obslužnosti jednotlivých obcí/částí obcí na základě charakteristik týkajících se počtu spojení veřejnou dopravou v letech 1998/99, 2008/09 a 2019/20. Součástí výzkumu je také studium MHD ve Valašském Meziříčí a studium kvality dopravního napojení Valašského Meziříčí na centra okolních regionů nebo krajské město Zlín. Celkové srovnání výsledných dat reflektuje poměrně stabilní situaci, která nebyla výrazněji ovlivněna ani organizačními změnami v roce 2000. S jejich příchodem následně došlo v mnoha krajích k důležitým dopravně-strukturním změnám souvisejících se zavedením integrovaných dopravních systémů (IDS). Ačkoliv je vznik IDS ve Zlínském kraji plánován, samotné kroky k jeho uvedení do provozu nejsou ze strany kraje nijak přelomové.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse public transport services in the Valašské Meziříčí Region and to capture its changes throughout the years/in the last twenty years. The analysis is based on a detailed examination of the serviceability of individual municipalities/parts of municipalities based on characteristics related to the number of connections by public transport in 1998/99, 2008/09 and 2019/20. The research also includes the study of public transport in Valašské Meziříčí and the study of the quality of transport connections between Valašské Meziříčí and the centres of the surrounding regions or the regional city of Zlín. The overall comparison of the resulting data reflects a relatively stable situation, which was not significantly affected by organizational changes in 2000. Thanks to them, there were important transport and structural changes in many regions related to the implementation of integrated transport systems (ITS). Although the establishment of ITS in the Zlín Region is planned, the particular steps of the Region to put it into operation are not turning in any way.
