Motivation of employers to employ people with disabilities

Abstract:

Cílem této magisterské diplomové práce je odpovědět na otázku, jak jsou zaměstnavatelé motivováni k zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením. Domnívám se, že se jedná o velice důležité a stále aktuální téma, což je i důvod, proč jsem si toto téma vybrala. Tato práce se zaměřuje na vymezení základních pojmů, které se zaměstnáváním osob se zdravotním postižením souvisejí a přiblížení problematiky motivace zaměstnavatelů, jejich možností, nástrojů podpory i možných potíží při zaměstnávání této skupiny osob. V teoretické části se snažím o komplexní náhled do problematiky osob se zdravotním onemocněním a motivace zaměstnavatelů k jejich zaměstnávání. Pro zjišťování jsem zvolila kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii, založenou na technice sběru dat pomocí polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů. V závěru identifikuji klíčové zdroje motivace zaměstnavatelů zaměstnávající osoby se zdravotním postižením, které vychází především z finanční podpory státu, CSR a empatie. Na závěr formuluji doporučení, jak by mohla být motivace zaměstnavatelů posílena.

Abstract:

The purpose of this master thesis is answer the question of how employers are motivated to employ people with disabilities. I think that is very important and always valid topic and this also the reason why I chose this topic for my master thesis. This thesis focuses on defining the basic terms, which are related to employment of people with disabilities and approach the issue of motivation of employers, their possibilities, support tools and potential difficulties in employment of this group of people. In the theoretical part of the thesis I try to achieve a comprehensive insight into the issue of employment of people with handicaps and motivation of their employers. For the survey, I chose a qualitative research strategy, based on the technique of collecting data through semi-structured interviews. In conclusion, I identify key sources of motivation for employers employing people with disabilities, which are based primarily on the government financial support, CSR and empathy. Further in conclusion I formulate recommendations on how the motivation of employers could be encouraged.
