Distance psychological intervention, psychological impact without personal contact, so-called "online testing"

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na distanční psychologickou intervenci, konkrétně na takzvané online testování. Cílem této práce je prvotní explorativní popis současných psychologických metod zveřejněných na internetu v českém jazyce. S ohledem na popisnou stránku byl použit kvalitativní výzkum. Výzkumný vzorek sestává z 56 odkazů na webové stránky, které jsou organizovány do 54 průvodních listů. Obsahovou analýzou webové stránky kategorizujeme podle sedmi možných kritérií. Z výsledků plyne, že nejčastěji vyhledávané konkrétní techniky jsou testy inteligence, u osobnostních metod je to pak dotazník Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. 75 % testů je dostupných zadarmo. Stejně tak je většina webů zaměřena pouze na jeden psychologický jev, upravena do profesionálně vypadající podoby a výsledky se objevují pouze online. 63 % poskytovatelů pochází z České republiky a 20 % webových testů lze při vyplňování přepnout do jiného jazyka. Výsledky práce jsou podrobněji rozepsány a zhodnoceny v diskuzi. Na stejném místě jsou také uvedeny limity tohoto výzkumu.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the distance psychological intervention, namely the so-called online testing. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the initial exploratory contemporary psychological methods published on the Internet in Czech language. With regard to the descriptive page the qualitative research was used. The research sample consists of 56 links on websites which are organized into 54 accompanying certificates. Content analysis of web pages is categorized according to seven possible criteria. The results show that the most sought-after specific techniques are the tests of intelligence. For personality methods it is the questionnaire Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. 75% of tests are available for free. Similarly, the majority of websites are focused only on one psychological phenomenon, which looks professional, and results appear only online. 63% of providers are originally from the Czech Republic and 20 % of the web tests can be switch to another language. The results of the work are analyzed in detail and evaluated in the discussion. In the same place, there are also shown the limits of this research.
