Faith, beliefs and life values of the patient in the nursing process

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována problematice víry a životních hodnot pacientů v ošetřovatelském procesu pohledem všeobecných a praktických sester. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je zaměřena na odbornou terminologii, která se vztahuje k problematice potřeb, teorii ošetřovatelství. Také jsou zde zmíněna specifika životních hodnot, která se u pacienta mohou během nemoci měnit. V praktické části byly stanoveny tři hlavní výzkumné problémy, které byly analyzovány pomocí kvantitativního výzkumného šetření. Výzkumným nástrojem byl dotazník. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, zda všeobecné a praktické sestry vnímají víru a životní hodnoty pacientů jako nedílnou součást ošetřovatelského procesu. Podle výsledků dotazníkového šetření téměř většina respondentů považuje víru a životní hodnoty pacienta za velice důležité. Bylo však také zjištěno, že pouze malá část respondentů s vírou a životními hodnotami pracuje v praxi. Z toho důvodu byl koncipován obsah edukačního semináře pro všeobecné a praktické sestry, který se této problematice věnuje.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is devoted to the issue of faith and life values of patients in the nursing process from the perspective of nurses. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis is focused on professional terminology which relates to the issue of needs and the theory of nursing. The specifics of life values are also mentioned here because they can change during the patient's disease. In the practical part, three main research problems were identified, which were further investigated by quantitative research. The research tool was a questionnaire. Main target of this bachelor thesis was investigate if nurses perceive faith and life values of the patients as the integral part of the nursing process. According to the results of the questionnaire survey, almost the majority of respondents consider the patient's faith and life values as very important. However, it was also found that only a small part of respondents are working with faith and life values in practice. Due to this results an educational seminar for nurses was proposed.
