MEDIA EDUCATION AND MEDIA LITERACY OF STUDENTS OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje mediálnímu vzdělávání a mediální gramotnosti žáků středních odborných škol. Cílem práce je popsat, analyzovat a interpretovat stav mediálního vzdělávání a mediální gramotnosti žáků středních odborných škol. Práce se dělí na dvě hlavní části, a to na část teoretickou a na část aplikační. Teoretická část se zabývá definičním vymezením pojmu „mediální výchova“ a její historií, definičně vymezuje pojem „mediální gramotnost“ a navzájem tyto pojmy propojuje. Dále jsou v teoretické části uvedeny příklady pro odborné a volnočasové mediální vzdělávání. Následná aplikační část práce se zabývá výzkumem stavu mediálního vzdělávání a mediální gramotnosti žáků na středních odborných školách. Výzkum je realizován kvantitativním přístupem s využitím metody dotazníkového šetření. Práce je zakončena diskusí nad výsledky výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is devoted to media education and media literacy of secondary vocational school students. The aim of the thesis is to describe, analyse and interpret the state of media education and media literacy of secondary vocational school students. The thesis is divided into two main parts, namely the theoretical part and the application part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the term "media education" and its history. The theoretical part also defines the term "media literacy" and interconnects these two concepts. Furthermore, the theoretical part gives further examples for professional and leisure media education. The subsequent application part of the thesis deals with research on the state of media education and media literacy of students in secondary vocational schools. The research is carried out by a quantitative approach using a questionnaire survey method. The thesis concludes with a discussion of the results of the research investigation.
