Role of school special education teacher at the intervention of pupils with specific learning disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí školního speciálního pedagoga při intervenci žáků se specifickými poruchami učení. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje problematice specifických poruch učení, jakožto významné poruše, která je nedílnou součástí téměř každé základní školy. V této kapitole nalezneme definice, etiologii, klasifikaci a diagnostiku specifických poruch učení. Druhá kapitola je zaměřená na inkluzivní vzdělávání. Tato kapitola se zaobírá terminologií a propojením inkluzí se specifickými poruchami učení, lehce se dotýká tématu podpůrných opatření. Poslední kapitola z teoretické části se zabývá profesí školního speciálního pedagoga, konkrétně se zaměřuje na jeho kompetence, osobnostní předpoklady a činnost, součástí je i podkapitola o školním poradenském pracovišti. Cílem praktické části bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak se ve školách realizuje předmět speciálně pedagogické péče u žáků se specifickými poruchami učení a jakou roli zde sehrává právě školní speciální pedagog. Pro účely práce je zvolen smíšený výzkum, kombinace výzkumu kvantitativního a kvalitativního. Sběr dat byl realizován pomocí dotazníků a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Provedeným výzkumem jsem zjistila, že předmět speciálně pedagogické péče neboli hodiny reedukace jsou velkou součástí činností školních speciálních pedagogů. Jejich postavení sehrává ve vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami významnou roli.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with role of school special education teacher at the intervention of pupils with specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the issue of specific learning disabilities, as a significant disorder that is an integral part of almost every elementary school. In this chapter we will find definitions, etiology, classification and diagnosis of specific learning disabilities. The second chapter focuses on inclusive education. This chapter deals with terminology and the connection of inclusion with specific learning disabilities, touches lightly on the topic of the support measures. The last chapter from the theoretical part deals with profession of the school special education teacher, specifically focuses on his competences, personality assumptions and aktivity, a subsection on the school counseling centre is also part of it. The aim of the practical part of the bachelor thesis is find out how the subject od special pedagogical care for pupils with specific learninig disabilities is implemented in schools and what role the school special education teacher plays here. Mixed reasearch, a combination of quantitative ane qualitativo research, is chosen for the purposes of this work. The data collection was carried out using the questionnaire and the semi-structured interview. Through my research, I discovered that subject of Special Educational Needs , or re-education classes, are a large part of the activities of school special education teacher. Their position plays a significant role in the education of pupils with special educational needs.
