This thesis will deal with the comic elements in American writer Joseph Heller's novel Catch-22 and British author Patrick Ryan's How I Won the War. Coincidentally, both novels were published around the same time in the early 1960s. Práce se bude zabývat komičnem v románu amerického spisovatele Josepha Hellera Catch-22 a britského autora Patricka Ryana How I Won the War. Shodou okolností oba romány vyšly přibližně ve stejné době začátkem šedesátých let minulého století.
