Strategic analysis of family business

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vnějších faktorů působících na podnik Autoservis Úlovec s.r.o. a poskytuje odpovědi na konkrétní strategické otázky majitele zkoumaného podniku. Cílem práce je zmapovat konkurenci v lokalitě podniku, zhodnotit investici do vystavění automyčky a navrhnout hodinovou sazbu práce s využitím nástrojů strategické analýzy. Práce se v teoretické části zabývá vymezením pojmů týkajících se strategické analýzy a představením metod strategické analýzy okolí podniku, přičemž hodnotí přístupy jednotlivých autorů a vhodnost použití metod. V metodické části uvádí konkrétní použité metody a jejich podobu. V praktické části práce pomocí těchto metod, kterými jsou hlavně STEEP analýza, Porterův model 5 sil, analýza odvětví a mapa konkurenčních skupin, hodnotí okolí zkoumaného podniku a odhaluje hlavní příležitosti a ohrožení. V závěru odpovídá na otázky majitele podniku a předkládá doporučení pro další strategické rozhodování majitele podniku.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of surrounding factors impacting enterprise Autoservis Úlovec s.r.o. and provides answers to particular strategic questions laid down by the owner of the enterprise. The aim of this thesis is to analyse market competition near the enterprise, to evaluate potential investment into self-service car wash and to propound the hourly rate with application of methods of strategic analysis. The theoretical part is focused on defining concepts related to strategic analysis and introducing methods of external strategic analysis while it assesses approach of different authors. The methodical part presents employed methods and their exact form. In analytical part the thesis analyses the surroundings of the enterprise and reveals biggest threats and opportunities while using STEEP analysis, Porter’s five forces analysis, sector analysis and strategic group map. In conclusion the answers to owner’s questions and further strategic recommendations are provided.
