Percieving of the relationship between volunteer and client in NGO Ratolest Brno

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce je věnována vnímání vztahu dobrovolníka s klientem v programu SAP, který funguje v rámci občanského sdružení Ratolest Brno. Teoretická část práce se zabývá historií fenoménu dobrovolnictví, dále pojmy jako „dobrovolnictví“, „dobrovolník“ a „vnímání“. Charakterizuje také samotný program SAP a dobrovolníky, kteří v rámci něj působí. Empirická část práce se věnuje výzkumu, který si klade za cíl zjistit, jak dobrovolníci svůj vztah s klientem vnímají. Výzkum toto ukazuje na příkladu tří dobrovolníků a jejich klientů. Každý ze tří vztahů je zkoumán pomocí několika významných momenty, ke kterým během něj došlo. Závěry výzkumu, které budou mít pracovníci programu SAP k dispozici, jim poskytnou zpětnou vazbu o tom, co dobrovolníci ve svém vztahu vnímají jako zásadní události a jak se s nimi dokázali vyrovnat. Na základě těchto zjištění tak pracovníci programu SAP lépe porozumí tomu, co dobrovolníci prožívají a budou tak moci zefektivnit komunikaci s nimi a nabídnout jim cílenější podporu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with perceiving of relationship between a volunteer and its client in a social activating program, which works in terms of nonprofit organization Ratolest Brno. The theoretical part deals with phenomenon of volunteering, conceptions like volunteer or perceiving. It also describes SAP program and the participating volunteers. The empirical part deals with a research of relationship perceiving between the volunteer and its client during their work in SAP program. The research explores this on example of three volunteers and their clients. Each of this three relationships is explored through several important moments during the relationship. The results of this research, which will be available for SAP employees, offer them the feed-back of what volunteers perceive as important events in their relationship and how they prove to come up with that. On the basis of this findings SAP employees could get better understanding of the situations volunteers go through and they could streamline communication with them and offer them a better support.
