A Reflection on the Experience of Ordered Protective Treatment for Offenders with a Mental Disorder

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřená na nařízenou ochrannou léčbu a její reflexe u pachatelů s různými duševními poruchami. Cílem práce je zmapovat a popsat obsah zkušenosti respondentů s duševní poruchou, kteří spáchali trestný čin a byla jim nařízena ústavní léčba. Předmětem zkoumání bude jak zkušenost s trestnou činností, tak i s nařízenou léčbou. Sekundárním cílem je také popis způsobu, jakým respondenti své zkušenosti konstruují. Jak vnímají respondenti vlastní trestnou činnost a následnou nařízenou ochrannou léčbu. Dále mne zajímá, jak reflektují příčiny svojí trestné činnosti a jak následně promítají tyto zkušenosti do své vlastní životní identity. Dále budu zjišťovat, zda jejich duševní onemocnění, dle nich samotných, souvisí i s páchanou trestnou činnosti a pokud ano, tak jakým způsobem Tyto cíle vyžadují idiografický, hloubkový přístup a vedou k metodám kvalitativního zkoumání. V případě mé bakalářské práce jde o strukturovaný rozhovor a pozorování.

Abstract:

The bachelors thesis is focused on ordered protective treatment and its reflection in offenders with various mental disorders. The aim of the thesis is to map and describe the contect of the experience of respondents with a mental disorder who commited a crime and were ordered to receive institutional treatment. The subject of investigation will be both experience with criminal activity and prescribed treatment. A secondary aim is also to describe the way respondents construct their experiences. How respondents perceive their own criminal activity and the subsequent protective treatment ordered. I am also interested in how they reflect on the causes of their criminal activity and how they subsequently project these experiences into their own life identity. Furthermore, I will find out whether their mental illness, according to them themselves, is also related to the committed criminal activity and if so in what way These objectives require an idiographic, in-depth approach and lead to qualitative research methods. In the case of my bachelors thesis, it is a structured interview and observation.
