Dental Implants and Important Information for Patients

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá důležitostí včasného podání informací, v dostatečném množství a srozumitelné formě, pacientovi podstupujícímu zákrok zavedení zubního implantátu. Tato práce disponuje teoretickou a praktickou částí. Teoretická část se věnuje úvodu do problematiky dentální implantologie, zmiňuje její historii a klasifikuje zubní implantáty i materiály, používající se k jejich výrobě. Dále pokračuje popisem procesu oseointegrace a vyjmenováním hlavních i doplňkových indikací k zákroku implantace. Teoretická část zahrnuje i výčet kontraindikací. Další kapitoly se věnují plánu léčby z hlediska implantologa, a především z hlediska dentální hygienistky, jejích úkolů při edukaci a instruktáži pacienta o správné ústní hygieně nejenom okolo implantátu. Na závěr teoretické části jsou zmíněny následky nedostatečné ústní hygieny a potřeba právního ošetření tohoto stomatochirurgického výkonu. Praktická část obsahuje informativní dokumenty spojené s léčbou pomocí dentálních implantátů, včetně zajištění právního vztahu mezi ošetřujícími a pacientem. Dokumenty z praktické části jsou vytvořeny na základě informací z teoretické části, konzultací s kolegou MDDr. Michalem Navrátilem a vlastních zkušeností z praxe. Měly by sloužit k celkovému zlepšení informovanosti pacientů a zjednodušovat vzájemnou spolupráci.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the importance of timely submission of information, in sufficient quantity and in comprehensible form, to the patient undergoing the introduction of a dental implant. This thesis has a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the introduction to the problems of dental implantology, mentions its history and classifies dental implants and materials used for their production. It goes on to describe the process of osseointegration and to list the main and complementary indications for the procedure of implantation. The theoretical part includes a list of contraindications. Further chapters deal with the treatment plan from the point of view of the implantologist and, above all, from the point of view of the dental hygienist, its tasks in educating and instructing the patient about proper oral hygiene not only around the implant. At the conclusion of the theoretical part are mentioned the consequences of insufficient oral hygiene and the need for legal treatment of this stomatosurgical performance. The practical part contains informative documents related to treatment with dental implants, including ensuring the legal relationship between the nurses and the patient. Documents from the practical part are based on information from the theoretical part, consultations with colleague MDDr. Michal Navrátil and his own experience from practice. They should serve to improve overall patient awareness and simplify co-operation.
