Children in a kindergarden with a postponed compulsory education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřená na problematiku odkladů povinné školní docházky. V teoretické části je popsáno předškolní období z hlediska vývojové psychologie. Dále vymezen pojem školní zralost a její jednotlivé oblasti, školní připravenost, školní nezralost a popsány některé testy školní zralosti. Závěrečná část práce se zabývá odkladem školní docházky a metodami pedagogické diagnostiky. Praktická část obsahuje výzkum formou dotazníku, kterým se zkoumalo, jak tuto problematiku vidí učitelky mateřských škol. V další části jsou zpracované kazuistiky dvou předškolních dětí, kde byly použity diagnostické testy, rozhovory a pozorování. U těchto dětí se pomocí tří testů školní zralosti porovnal jejich stav před odkladem školní docházky a poté po odkladu školní docházky. Cílem bylo posoudit některé aspekty školní zralosti těchto dětí a zjistit, zda jim odklad školní docházky pomohl dozrát do úrovně školní zralosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of the postponements of the compulsory education. The theoretical part defines the preschool time period concerning the Developmental Psychology. This work further deals with the concept of school maturity and its individual areas, school readiness, school immaturity and describes some tests of school maturity. The final part is aimed at the postponements of the compulsory education and methods of pedagogical diagnostics. The practical part includes a research in the form of a questionnaire, by which is examined how this issue is perceived by the kindergarten teachers. In the following part, there is an elaborated casuistry of two preschool children, where diagnostic tests, interviews and observations were used. Those children were given three different tests of school maturity to compare their condition before and after the postponement of the compulsory education. The main aim was to assess some aspects of their school maturity and also to find out, whether postponement of the compulsory education helped them to develop to the level of school maturity.
