Abstract:

Moje diplomová magisterská práce je zaměřena na téma národopisné činnosti v Brně první polovině 90. let 19.století. Toto období je jedním z nejvýznamnějších období pro český národopis, ve kterém konaly dvě mezní události pro český národopis - Jubilejní zemská výstava v roce 1891 a Národopisná výstava českoslovanská v roce 1895. Záměrem práce bylo postihnout národopisné dění právě v moravském centru národopisného dění. V práci se zabývám vlivem německého osídlení na místní národopisnou činnost, dále se zde zabývám významem spolků a jejich činnosti. Důležitou roli hrála také činnost významných osobností.

Abstract:

This major diploma thesis deals with ethnical activities in Brno in the first half of 1890s. The period of the years 1890 – 1895 was one of the most important period in light of czech ethnography. In that time were held two exhibitions. The first one – The General Provincial Anniversary Exhibition in the year 1891 and the second one – The National Czechoslavonic Exhibition in the year 1895, both took place in Prague. The main conseguence of both of them was to represent the Czech nation. The main objective of my dissertation was to describe the national and ethnical movement in Brno - which was the main centre of these activities in Moravia – in a broader context. There were many significant aspects, that influenced the whole situation, e.g. the cooperation with well known ethnographers or with several cultural and national associations and very important was the aspect of the Brno city germanisation as well. Not least to accent the importance of smaller territorial and regional exhibitions, that were mostly held in years 1892 – 1895. There are pointed out the most significant events in Brno as well and short biographies of mentioned ethnographers, that should underline the importance of their activities. I appeared from historical and ethnographical literature at the begining of my research, than I was worknig with archival documents and newspapers. This diploma thesis is a result of compilation of all these materials.
