Pregnancy and labour among elder women

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je těhotenství a porod u primipar starších 35 let. Jsou zde popsány jednotlivé faktory, které mohou ženy ovlivnit v plánování prvního potomka a také nejčastější komplikace pro matku i plod, u kterých se zvyšuje riziko výskytu v závislosti na věku matky. Hlavním cílem praktické častí bylo zmapovat důvody, které vedou ženy k tomu, mít své první dítě až po 35. roce. Dále zjistit, jestli si byly vědomy výskytu rizik popsaných v teoretické části. Pro sběr dat byl použit anonymní nestandardizovaný dotazník sestavený na základě vyhledaných rešerší. Zkoumaným souborem se staly prvorodičky starší 35 let. Zjištěná data byla zpracována a vyhodnocena. Následně pro lepší přehlednost přepsána do tabulek a sloupcových grafů. Výsledky práce, dle mého mínění, vyšly kladně. Na základě odpovědí byly stanoveny 3 nejčastější důvody, které vedou ženu k odkladu těhotenství po 35. rok. Jsou jimi hledání vhodného partnera, kariéra a studium, problémy s otěhotněním. I přes to, více jak polovina žen uvedla, že je spokojena se svým věkem při narození svého prvního dítěte. Abychom mohli předcházet odkládání prvního potomka, a tak předešli pozdnímu mateřství u žen, navrhla jsem několik doporučení v jakých oblastech ženy edukovat.

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is pregnancy and childbirth at primipar over 35 years of age. There are described the individual factors that women can influence in the planning of the first offspring, as well as the most common complications for the mother and the fetus, which increase the risk of occurrence depending on the age of the mother. The main objective of the practical part was to map out the reasons that lead women to have their first child after the 35th year. Next, find out if they were aware of the risks described in the theoretical part. Anonymous, non-standardized questionnaire based on searched searches was used to collect data. The studied ensemble became firstborn aged over 35 years. The detected data were processed and evaluated. Subsequently, for better clarity, it is rewritten into tables and bar graphs. The results of the work, in my opinion, have been positive. Based on the answers, the 3 most common reasons have been identified that lead the woman to delay pregnancy after the 35th year. They are finding them a suitable partner, career and study, problems with getting pregnant. Despite that, more than half of women said she was satisfied with her age at the birth of her first child. In order to prevent the postponement of the first offspring, and thus prevent women from late motherhood, I suggested some recommendations in which areas women should be educated.
