Gender Stereotypes in Management

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Genderové stereotypy v managementu“ se zaměřuje na problematiku genderových stereotypů na pracovním trhu, zejména v oblasti managementu. Cílem práce je prozkoumat současnou situaci a zjistit, zda přetrvává genderově stereotypní smýšlení a odhalit případné projevy. Teoretická část práce je založená primárně na rešerši odborné literatury a zabývá se rozdíly mezi mužem a ženou po biologické a sociální stránce, existencí genderových stereotypů, slaďováním osobního a pracovního života, genderově integrovanou společností a rozdíly mezi mužem a ženou na vedoucích pozicích. Součástí práce je analýza genderových studií. Praktická část diplomové práce je věnována analýze dat sesbíraných prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis entitled "Gender stereotypes in management" focuses on the issue of gender stereotypes in the labor market, especially in the field of management. The general aim of this work is to examine the current situation, to find out whether gender stereotypical thinking persists and to reveal possible manifestations. The theoretical part of the work is primarily based on a research of professional literature which deals with differences between men and women in biological and social terms, the existence of gender stereotypes, harmonization of personal and work life, gender-integrated society and differences between men and women in leadership positions. Certain part of the work is the analysis of gender studies. Lastly, the practical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the analysis of data collected through a questionnaire survey.
