The analyses of slow destination Orlicke hory and Podorlicko

Abstract:

Cestovní návyky mnoha cílových skupin v odvětví cestovního ruchu se mění. Lidé opouštějí města a snaží se uniknout přeplněnosti, stresu a hluku - s jedinou touhou zpomalit. Pojmy jako zpomalení, uvolnění, ticho a hlubší zážitky odpovídají konceptu slow tourismu. Cílem této bakalářské práce je představit filozofii slow tourismu a analyzovat, zda první česká slow destinace Orlické hory a Podorlicka splňuje požadavky slow tourismu. Teoretická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na koncept udržitelného rozvoje a slow filosofii, zatímco praktická část má za cíl určit vhodnost výběru oblasti Orlické hory a Podorlicko pro rozvoj slow tourismu. K dosažení tohoto cíle bylo stanoveno 8 kritérií slow destinace, která prokazují, zda je daná oblast slow. V závěru je provedena SWOT analýza napomáhající k finálnímu zhodnocení. Výsledky dokazují, že Orlické hory a Podorlicko lze považovat za slow destinaci a získaná data mohou být dále využita místní destinační společností.

Abstract:

The travel habits of many target groups in the tourism industry are changing. People leave cities trying to escape from overcrowding, stress or noise-with a one single desire of slowing down. Such atributes as slowing down, relaxation, silence and deeper experiences correspond to the concept of slow tourism. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present a philosophy of slow tourism and to analyze whether the first Czech slow destination of the Orlicke hory and Podorlicko meets the requirements of a slow movement. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the concept of sustainable development and slow tourism while the practical part examines a suitability of region Orlicke hory and Podorlicko for slow tourism development. In order to achieve the objectives 8 criteria were set to prove whether the destination is slow. In addition to this a SWOT analyses is conducted to help the final evaluation. The results show that Orlicke hory and Podorlicko region can be considerate as slow destination and the data obtained can be used by local destination management.
