Creation of contemporary Czech artist Jan Samec Jr. in the context of education

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je zamyšlení nad uměleckou tvorbou předního českého kreslíře, malíře, grafika a ředitele Galerie umění v Karlových Varech Jana Samce ml. s přesahem do edukační oblasti, žákovské tvorby. V teoretické části práce je pojednáno téma abstrahované krajiny, životopis J. Samce a inspirační východiska jeho tvorby. V praktické části je popsána realizace výtvarného projektu, prostřednictvím kterého je žákům druhého stupně ZŠ zprostředkováno umělcovo dílo. Důraz je kladen na reflexi vyučovacího procesu a na interpretaci uměleckých děl samotnými žáky. Důležitou součástí projektu je setkání žáků s J. Samcem a diskuze o jeho autorské tvorbě. Cílem práce je na základě práce s obsahy děl J. Samce přispět k porozumění abstraktnímu umění u žáků druhého stupně ZŠ.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis is a reflection on the artistic work of the leading Czech draughtsman, painter, graphic designer and director of the Art Gallery in Karlovy Vary, Jan Samec Jr. with an overlap into the educational area, pupil's work. The theoretical part deals with the theme of abstract landscape, biography of J. Samec and the inspirational sources of his work. The practical part describes the realization of an art project through which the artist's work is mediated to the pupils of the second grade of the elementary school. Emphasis is placed on the reflection of teaching process and on the interpretation of artworks by pupils themselves. An important part of the project is the meeting of pupils with J. Samec and discussion about his art work. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to the understanding of abstract art by pupils in the second grade of elementary school with the aid of the work with contents of J. Samec's artworks.
