The benefit of activation activities for seniors

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá nabídkou aktivizačních činností, které jsou poskytovány seniorům v domově pro seniory v okrese Opava. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, jaká je nabídka aktivizačních činností v tomto domově pro klienty a jaký mají tyto aktivity přínos pro seniory. V teoretické části je zpracováno téma stáří a stárnutí, popsala jsem involuční změny, které stáří provází. Dále jsem navázala na možnost aktivizací seniorů, kteří využívají pobytové služby v daném domově a zmínila také vliv involučních změn na zájem o nabízené aktivizace. V praktické části jsem se zaměřila na druhy aktivizačních činností, které jsou nabízeny v domově pro seniory a pro výzkum jsem si zvolila kvalitativní výzkum a to formu polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pracovníky v přímé péči a klienty v tomto zařízení.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis pursues the offerings of activation activities, which are being offered and then provided for the elderly citizens at the retirement home in the city of Opava. The main target of this thesis was to find out, what kind of offers of activation activities are being offered and what kind of benefits of those the clients have at this elderly retirement home. In the theoretical section of the thesis are beeing processed the topics about age, aging and involutional changes and alterations that go along with the ageing processes. I further establish the possibility of activation of the elderly klients, who are using the residential accommodation services in the given elderly retirement home and how they are changing their needs and interest due to involutional alterations. In the practical section of the thesis I concentrated on the types of activization activities, which are being offered at this elderly retirement home and for the research section of the thesis I choose the qualitative research in the form of semi-structured conversations with the direct care employees of the above mentioned home.
