Preparedness of the Paramedics for Solving Extraordinary Events with a Massive Health Impact

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku připravenosti zdravotnických záchranářů na řešení mimořádných událostí s hromadným postižením zdraví na výjezdových stanovištích Zdravotnické záchranné služby Pardubického kraje. Závěrečná práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnocení teoretických znalostí zdravotnických záchranářů v oblasti řešení mimořádných událostí s hromadným postižením zdraví. V teoretické části je popsána urgentní medicína, medicína katastrof, integrovaný záchranný systém a krizové řízení. Dále se teoretická část věnuje samotnému pojmu mimořádné události, třídění raněných, připravenosti zdravotnických záchranářů a postupu řešení mimořádných událostí zdravotnickým záchranářem. V praktické části je zpracována analýza dotazníkového šetření, které bylo provedeno u zdravotnických záchranářů ve výjezdových skupinách ZZS Pardubického kraje s odlišnou délkou praxe u ZZS. Všechny výsledky jsou zpracovány do tabulek, graficky znázorněny a doplněny krátkým komentářem. V závěru praktické části jsou uvedeny možné návrhy pro zlepšení problematiky, které se vztahují k výsledkům provedeného průzkumu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of paramedic’s readiness in dealing with large scale public health emergencies from the local distribution bases of the Medical Rescue Service of the Pardubice Region. The final work is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate the theoretical knowledge of paramedics in dealing with emergencies involving a large number of casualties. The theoretical part describes emergency medicine, catastrophe medicine, integrated rescue system and crisis management. Furthermore, the theoretical element deals with the very concept of an emergency, the classification of the wounded, the readiness of paramedics and the procedure of their management of casualties The practical aspect deals with the survey analysis, which was conducted with paramedics in the medical rescue services call-out teams of the Pardubice region with a different length of experience and exposure in medical rescue services. All results are processed in tables, graphically represented and supplemented by a short commentary. At the end of the practical part there are possible suggestions for the issue improvements, which are related to the survey results.
