Time-Frequency Analysis of ECG Signals

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme analýze koňského EKG nasnímaného v průběhu zátěžového vyšetření. Používáme časově-frekvenční analýzu, abychom mohli zkoumat změny ve frekvenčním složení signálu v průběhu času daného experimentu. Cílem této práce je popsat stav kondice subjektů na základě informací získatelných z EKG signálu, který máme k disposici. Za tímto účelem jsme z daného signálu získali jisté vlastnosti, konkrétně výkon signálu a deskriptory popisující Poincarého graf. Shluková analýza je využita k vytvoření skupin hodnot těchto vlastností za účelem interpretace reakce srdce na zátěž. Subjekty jsou též porovnány jak na základě výsledků shlukové analýzy, tak na základě zobrazení hodnot výkonu signálů. Tuto bakalářskou práci strukturujeme od popisu problému a aranžmá experimentu, kde nabízíme také náhled na poslední související práce, přes popis použitých metod a prezentaci výsledků až po závěr, zdroje a seznam zkratek.

Abstract:

In this thesis we study the equine stress test ECG. We are using the time-frequency analysis in order to examine the changes in frequencies throughout the time of the experiment. The goal of this thesis is to describe the fitness state of the subjects according to information obtainable from the ECG signals we are provided with. For this purpose we have extracted certain features from the signal, namely power and Poincare plot descriptors. Cluster analysis is then used to create groups of features’ values in order to interpret the heart’s reaction to the stressing. Subjects are also compared according to both, their cluster analysis results and the result of the powers’ values’ visualisations. The thesis is structured from the problem and experimental setup description, where we include the overview of the state of art, through algorithmic procedures’ description and results’ presentation to conclusion, references and list of shortcuts.
