Interpretation of the fairy tale The Handless Maiden from the point of view of analytical psychology

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje interpretaci pohádky o Bezručce z pozice analytické psychologie. Pokouší se amplifikovat jednotlivé (v pohádce obsažené) symboly, objasnit jejich vzájemnou souvislost a podrobit analýze jejich vztah k problémům formulovaným analytickou psychologií (např. ke konstelaci parentálních komplexů, personě a stínu, animovi a animě atd.). Základní premisou této práce je skutečnost, že pohádkový (podobně jako mytologický) materiál je odrazem nevědomých procesů psýché. Práce se zabývá jak intrapersonálními vztahy (mezi rodiči a potomkem a mezi partnery), tak z nich vycházejícím intrapsychickým děním u jednotlivých pohádkových aktérů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the interpretation of the fairy tale of The Handless Maiden from the position of analytical psychology. It attempts to amplify the individual symbols (contained in the fairy tale), to clarify their interconnection and to analyse their relation to the problems formulated by analytical psychology (e.g. to the constellation of parental complexes, persona and shadow, animus and anima, etc.). The basic premise of this work is that fairy tale (like mythological) material is a reflection of unconscious processes of the psyche. The thesis is concerned with both intrapersonal relationships (between parents and offspring and between partners) and the resulting intrapsychic agency in individual fairy tale actors.
