Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl analýzu a kritiku Amerického snu v novele Džungle od Uptona Sinclaira. Práce je rozdělena do jedenácti částí. První dvě části se zabývají historickým pozadím dob Pozlacený věk a Progresivní éra. Následující část se zabývají postupným vývojem Amerického snu.
