Risk management in finnacial area

Abstract:

Diploma paper was focused on the issue of financial risk management in financial institutions. The aim of the paper was to identify the financial, credit risk, its process and to analyze the effectiveness in managing the credit risk in the examined bank, in order to avoid the client's default. Diploma thesis is theoretical and empirical. The issue is divided in four chapters. The first chapter of the thesis defines the risks of the banks in financial market, including credit risk. The second chapter defines research methodology, hypotheses and research questions. The result of qualitative research is presented in the third chapter of the diploma paper. The fourth chapter of the thesis discusses the results and defined proposals and recommendations for the bank's employees and also for the examined bank aimed at eliminating the emergence of credit risk. The importance of the presented diploma paper work is in level of practical analysis and evaluation of the management of the credit risk process by the examined commercial bank.

Abstract:

Prezentovaná diplomová práca bola zameraná na problematiku manažmentu finančných rizík vo finančných inštitúciách. Hlavným cieľom práce bolo identifikovať finančné, úverové riziko, jeho proces a analyzovať efektivitu v riadení úverového rizika v skúmanej banke, a to s cieľom vyhnúť sa nesplneniu záväzkov klienta. Diplomová práca má teoreticko-empirický charakter. Skúmaná problematika je rozpracovaná v štyroch kapitolách. Prvá kapitola práce definovala riziká banky na finančnom trhu vrátane úverového rizika. Druhá kapitola práce definovala metodiku výskumu, hypotézy a výskumné otázky. Výsledky kvalitatívneho výskumu sú prezentované v tretej kapitole diplomovej práce. V poslednej štvrtej kapitole diplomovej práce sú diskutované výsledky a definované návrhy a odporúčania pre pracovníkov banky a tiež skúmanú banku zamerané na elimináciu vzniku úverového rizika. Význam prezentovanej diplomovej práce je v rovine praktickej analýzy a zhodnotení riadenia procesu úverového rizika zo strany skúmanej komerčnej banky.
