Identity of the Communist Party Bohemia and Moravia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá identitou Komunistické strany Čech a Moravy (dále KSČM). Cílem práce je ověřit zařazení KSČM, které ve své typologii krajní levice uvádějí Luke March a Cas Mudde. Samotný text se věnuje zejména analýze programatiky KSČM. Zabývám se například postoji strany k otázkám sociální, hospodářské či zahraniční politiky. Část práce je také věnována vztahu strany k vlastní minulosti. Na základě těchto témat se pak v závěru pokouším o ověření Marchova a Muddeho zařazení KSČM a zhodnocení její skutečné identity.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the identity of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (CPBM). The aim of this thesis is to verify the classification of CPBM, which it is showed by Luke March and Cas Mudde in their typology of radical left. The text itself is particularly devoted to the programmatic analysis of the CPBM. I deal with such attitudes of the political party as the issues of social, economic and foreign policy. Part of the thesis is also devoted to the relationship of the party to its past. In the end, based on these themes, I try to verify the classification of CPBM according to March and Mudde, and to evaluate its real identity.
