Analysis of the costs of avoiding CO2 emissions under the Grant Green Investment Scheme

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit náklady na zamezení emisí CO2 v rámci programu Zelená úsporám. Zkoumaný dotační program, financovaný z prodeje přebytečných emisních poukázek v rámci Kjótského protokolu, je stručně zarámovaný do celkového kontextu politiky ochrany klimatu (zdroje financování, AAU jednotky, pravidla emisního obchodování, atp.). Práce analyzuje konkrétní projekty a dosažené výsledky následně porovnává s předpokladem možného vývoje Programu, který zpracovalo Ministerstvo životního prostředí. Práce se na základě dostupných údajů zabývá redukcí emisí CO2 za dobu životnosti jednotlivých opatření. Analýza směřuje k vyčíslení průměrných nákladů na snížení jedné tuny emisí CO2.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the cost to prevent CO2 emissions in the Green Investment Scheme. The research grant program, funded through the sale of surplus emission of bills under the Kyoto Protocol, is briefly framed in the overall context of climate policy (funding sources, AAU units, rules of emission trading, etc.). The thesis analysis the specific projects and then comparing the results obtained with the assumption of the Ministry of Environment on the possible development of the program. The thesis deals with the reduciton of CO2 emissions over the life of action based on available data. The analysis seeks to quantify of the average cost of one ton reduction of CO2 emissions.
