Analysis of teachers' attitudes and approaches to the integration of hearing impaired pupils in mainstream elementary schools

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá postoji a přístupy učitelů k integraci žáků se sluchovým postižením do běžných základních škol. Obsahuje část teoretickou a část praktickou, která pomocí smíšeného výzkumu zkoumá toto téma na výzkumném vzorku učitelů z Moravskoslezského kraje. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První uvádí základní informace o sluchovém postižení a možnostech základního vzdělávání, druhá se zabývá problematikou integrace se zaměřením na učitele, žáky i organizační uspořádání, třetí kapitola vysvětluje postoje z psychologického hlediska, přibližuje současný stav poznání ve zkoumané oblasti a věnuje se speciálně pedagogickému vzdělávání učitelů. Praktická část obsahuje cíle výzkumu a výzkumné otázky, popis metodologie, charakteristiku výběrového souboru, výsledky a závěry z dotazníkového šetření a interview.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the teachers' attitudes and approaches to the integration of hearing impaired pupils in mainstream elementary schools. It includes a theoretical part and a practical part with a mixed research which explores this topic in the research sample of teachers from the Moravian-Silesian Region. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first provides basic information about hearing impairment and the possibilities in the basic education, the second deals with the issues of integration with a focus on teachers, pupils and organizational structure, the third chapter explains the attitudes from a psychological point of view, then it describes the current state of knowledge in the area and it also focuses on a special pedagogy training of teachers. The practical part consists of research objectives and research questions, a methodology description, the characteristics of the sample and the results and conclusions of the questionnaire survey and interviews.
