Cytogenetic analysis of human peripheral lymphocytes

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o cytogenetické analýze lidských periferních lymfocytů. Toto vyšetření slouží ke sledování vlivu genotoxických faktorů prostředí na lidský genetický materiál. Biologických projevem těchto faktorů na člověku mohou být strukturální změny na chromozomech. Práce se zaměřuje na praktické provedení tohoto vyšetření a zaškolení v oblasti hodnocení výsledků. V praktickém hodnocení se hodnotí vybraný počet probandů s určitou anamnézou a následně jsou výsledky porovnány s výsledky cytogenetické laboratoře. Práce byla zhotovena formou rešerší odborné literatury, a především je postavena na vlastním praktickém zaučení autorky v oblasti cytogenetické analýzy a jejího hodnocení. Přínosem je její praktická použitelnost v cytogenetických laboratořích a jako studijní materiál pro zaučující se laboranty.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with a cytogenetic analysis of human peripheral lymphocytes. The exploration serves for monitoring effects of genotoxic environmental factors on human genetic material. On human, these factors can biologically manifest themselves in chromosome structural changes. The thesis is focused on practical implementation of this exploration and an induction process in the field of evaluating results. In the frame of practical implementation, first a selected number of probands with a specific anamnesis are assessed. Subsequently, the results obtained are compared with the results of the cytogenetics laboratory. This work has been done in the form of scientific literature research and is primarily based on its author´s own practical initial training in the field of cytogenetic analysis and its assessment. Its benefit lies in the practical ability in cytogenetics laboratories and can be used as study material for laboratory trainees.
