Recommendation of Cloud Services for a Non-Profit Organization

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá možnostmi cloudových systémů v současné době a výběrem jednoho konkrétního řešení pro využití v neziskové organizaci. Poskytuje přehled o možnostech cloud computingu v současné době, mapuje rozdíly jednotlivých modelů a pomáhá získat představu o kladech a záporech trendu přesouvání souborů, programů či celé infrastruktury (v případě organizací a firem) do cloudového prostředí. Dále navrhuje konkrétní řešení cloudu pro neziskovou organizaci. Zjišťuje požadavky a potřeby organizace, vybírá nejlepší variantu řešení ve smyslu cloudového modelu i konkrétního poskytovatele. Navíc zhodnocuje předpokládané přínosy a vypočítává náklady.

Abstract:

This thesis covers the current options for cloud systems and focuses on the selection of one specific solution to be used in a non-profit organization. The thesis provides a list of Cloud Computing options available nowadays, it maps out the differences between individual models, and it assists in getting an overall idea of the pros and cons of the trend of migration of files, programs, or the of the whole infrastructure (in the case of organizations and enterprises) into the cloud environment. Furthermore, a specific cloud solution is suggested for a non-profit organization. The thesis examines the requirements and needs of this organization, and then selects the best for them in terms of both the cloud model and a specific provider. In addition, the expected benefits are evaluated, and the costs are calculated.
