Social Entrepreneurship As A Product of Modernization of Society

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem sociálního podnikání ve vztahu k modernizaci společnosti, v souvislostech s obecným vývojem v rámci Evropy a České republiky. Text je rozdělen do tří částí. První část je zaměřena na problematiku modernizace, její charakteristické rysy a strategie a návrhy řešení jejích negativních důsledků pro společnost. Druhá část práce je věnována popisu sociálního podnikání, sociálních podniků, principů konceptu a jeho historii. Zmíněny jsou zde také bariéry sociálního podnikání a kritiky konceptu. V závěrečné části autorka uvažuje nad vztahem mezi sociálním podnikáním a modernizací společnosti, přičemž směřuje k potvrzení či vyvrácení hypotézy, že tento koncept je produktem modernizace. Zde si autorka také klade za cíl zjistit, zda je sociální podnikání možné vnímat jako jedno z možných řešení negativních důsledků modernizace pro společnost.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the concept of social entrepreneurship in relation to modernization of the society, in the context of general development in Europe and the Czech Republic. The text is devided into three parts. The first part is describing the issue of modernization, its characteristic features and strategies and suggestions how to solve negative consequences of modernization. The second part of the thesis is focused on the description of social entrepreneurship, social enterprises, principles of social entrepreneurship and the history of this concept. There are some barriers and critics of the concept mentioned as well. In the last part of the text, the author is considering a relationship between social entrepreneurship and modernization of the society, while aming to confirm or refute a hypothesis that this concept is a product of modernization. The author is also trying to find out if social entrepreneurship could be seen as one of possible solutions for negative consequences of modernization.
