Supporting the motivation of generation Z employees through employee benefits

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem generace Z k zaměstnaneckým benefitům a subjektivním vnímáním jejich důležitosti. Sekundárním cílem této práce je ověřit, jak moc se firmy zajímají o požadavky možných budoucích pracovníků, v tomto případě především lidí z generace Z. V teoretické části práce jsou představeny koncepty pracovní motivace a péče o zaměstnance prostřednictvím zaměstnaneckých benefitů. Jsou také představeny charakteristiky jednotlivých generací, a to s důrazem na generaci Z. Praktická část je realizována formou dotazníkových šetření zaměřených na identifikaci motivačního potenciálu zaměstnaneckých benefitů ze strany příslušníků generace Z a na zmapování podoby systémů zaměstnaneckých benefitů v různých společnostech. Na základě analýzy výsledků těchto šetření jsou formulovány autorské návrhy a doporučení, které mohou sloužit k podpoře motivace zaměstnanců generace Z prostřednictvím zaměstnaneckých benefitů.

Abstract:

The presented thesis deals with generation Z’s view on the topic of employee benefits as well as with its subjective perception of their importance. The secondary goal of this thesis is to verify just how much do companies care about the needs of their potential future employees, in this case predominantly the generation Z workers. The theoretical part of this thesis introduces the concepts of work motivation and employee care through the use of employee benefits. Also introduced are the characteristics of individual generations, with emphasis again laid on generation Z. Its practical part is realized through surveys concentrated on identification of the motivational potential of employee benefits with generation Z members, as well as on the mapping of individual systems of employee benefits in different companies. Based on the ensuing analysis of the surveys’ results, author’s suggestions and recommendations which hope to serve as support in motivation of generation Z workers through employee benefits are then formulated.
