Pension reform in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předmět bakalářské práce Penzijní reformy v České republice je přiblížení historického vývoje penzijního systému v České republice až po jeho plánovanou reformu v roce 2013. V bakalářské práci se představují a definují různé možnosti financování penzí a způsoby jejich reformování. Důležitou částí práce je i přiblížení si zkušeností s proběhnutými reformami nejen v evropských státech. Závěrečnou práci uzavírá porovnání těchto reforem s plánovanou reformou v ČR, upozornění na negativní dopady proběhnutých reforem, zajímavé fungující nápady a subjektivní návrh autora ideální penzijní reformy.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis Pension reforms in the Czech Republic aims, to reflect on a historical evolution of the pension system in The Czech Republic before it will be reformed in 2013. Various possibilities how to finance, and how to reform pensions, are being presented in the thesis. An important part of the work is dedicated to experience with pension system reforms in European countries and further. In the last part of the thesis, author offers a comparison of the mentioned reforms with a planned reform in the Czech Republic. He highlights possible negative impacts of concrete measures and recommends the well-functioning ideas to be implemented in the reform.
