Mistakes in teachers' social perceptions and their effect on pupils

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce je zaměřena na téma chyb v sociální percepci učitelů a jejich vliv na žáky 2. stupně základních škol. Objasňuje problematiku sociální percepce a chyb z ní plynoucích, aktéry výchovně vzdělávacího procesu a možný vliv chyb na tyto aktéry. Mezi chyby, na které se práce zaměřuje patří: Pygmalion efekt, Golem efekt, teorie nálepkování, haló efekt, předsudky či stereotypy. Cílem diplomové práce bylo na základě kvantitativního šetření zjistit v jaké míře se s vybranými chybami žáci setkávají a s jakými faktory míra jejich výskytu souvisí.

Abstract:

This Master's thesis focuses on the subject of mistakes in teachers' social perception and their influence on primary school pupils. It clarifies the issue of social perception and the mistakes resulting from it, the participants in the educational process and the possible impact of mistakes on these participants. Among the mistakes the work focuses on: Pygmalion effect, Golem effect, labelling, halo effect, prejudice, or stereotypes. The aim of the thesis was to established, based on the quantitative survey, the extent to which pupils encountered the mistakes and the factors involved.
