Usage of potential of historical green areas to satisfy needs of current society using example of Lochotin park in Pilsen

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice obnovy a využití městské zeleně, důraz je kladen na konkrétní příklad Lochotínského parku v Plzni. V teoretické části se práce zabývá funkcemi a významem zeleně v urbanizovaných oblastech. Shrnuje legislativní opatření, která se obnovou a využitím zeleně zabývají. V praktické části se práce zaměřuje na historii Lochotínského parku, současné problémy parku a plány jeho obnovy. Dále identifikuje skupiny do této obnovy zapojené. V závěru práce jsou navrženy možné další způsoby využití parku.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issues of renewal and usage of urban green areas and put emphasis on particular example of Lochotin park in Pilsen. In the theoretical part it deals with the roles and meaning of green areas in urban districts. It summarizes the legislation in the field of renewal and usage of green areas. In practical part it focuses on the history of Lochotin park, current issues of the park and plans of its renewal. There are also different groups involved in the usage of the park defined in the thesis. In the conclusion the suggestions of other possibilities of usage are presented.
