Psychosocial charakteristics of the client in the children's home in Kašperské Hory

Abstract:

Tato práce představuje v teoretické části náhled do problematiky dětských domovů (DD), jejich poslání a cílů. Poukazuje na souvislost rizikových faktorů v rodinách související s výskytem dětí v DD. V praktické části je představena struktura DD Kašperské Hory. Bylo realizováno šest strukturovaných rozhovorů (tři zaměstnanci DD, tři klienti DD) formou 11 otázek podobných pro všechny aktéry. Na základě otázek byly stanoveny tři hypotézy. Z vyhodnocení dotazníků je patrné, že zaměstnanci i klienti různých věkových kategorií jsou si vědomi poslání a prospěšnosti dětských domovů, ale klienti by raději byli v domácím prostředí. Názorová shoda byla nalezena i u druhé hypotézy o prospěšnosti zahraničních cest, které dle názorů zúčastněných upevňují vztah mezi vychovatelem a klientem a dávají prostor pro mnoho sociálních interakcí. Vyhodnocení poslední hypotézy bylo překvapivé, jelikož jak klienti, tak vychovatelé považují denní řád a jeho dodržování za důležité. Rozchází se pouze u důslednosti a případném sankcionování za jeho nedodržování.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part, this work presents an insight into the issue of children's homes(CH), their mission and goals. It highlights the connection of risk factors in families related tothe placement of children in CH. The practical part presents the structure of CH Kašperské Hory. Six structured interviews were conducted (three with CH employees and three with CH clients) in the form of 11 questions similar for all actors. Based on the questions, three hypotheses were established. From the evaluation of the questionnaires, it is evident that employees and clients of different age categories are aware of the mission and benefits of children's homes, but the clients would prefer to be in a home environment. The agreement of opinion was also found for the second hypothesis about the benefits of foreign trips, which, according to the participants' opinions, strengthen the relationship between the educator and the client and give room for many social interactions. The evaluation of the last hypothesis was surprising, as both clients and educators consider the daily schedule and its observance to be important. They differ only in terms of its consistency and possible sanctioning for non-compliance.
