Long-term unemployment: causesconse, quences and solutions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce analyzuje problematiku dlouhodobé nezaměstnanosti v České republice v kontextu sociální práce. Teoretická část shrnuje dostupné informace, porovnává postoje různých autorů, popisuje příčiny, mapuje důsledky nezaměstnanosti na jedince a hledá možná východiska, možnosti pomoci, metody a techniky, včetně seznamu dostupných institucí, které se na danou problematiku specializují. Praktická část bakalářské práce mapuje životní příběhy respondentů, kteří jsou dlouhodobě nezaměstnaní a registrovaní na úřadu práce, a to déle než dva roky. Šetření formou rozhovorů přináší poznatky o příčinách nezaměstnanosti konkrétních jedinců, důsledcích této negativní události na jejich život. Podává obraz o životních strategiích a zvládání obtížné situace. Dá se říci, že šetření se zaměřuje na myšlenkové obsahy a subjektivní hodnocení reality vybranými respondenty.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis analyses the problems of long-term unemployment in the context of social work in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part summarizes available information, compares attitudes of various authors, describes the causes and explores the consequences of unemployment on individuals and looking for possible solutions, options of the help, methods and techniques with a list of available institutions that specialized in these problems. The practical part of thesis presents the life stories of the long-term unemployment respondents which are registered in the Labour office more than two years. Interviews bring information about the causes of individual unemployment and the consequences of negative events in their lives. The thesis gives a picture of life strategies and coping with difficult situations. The investigation focuses on the mental content and subjective evaluation of reality by selected respondents.
