Water in city in the context of climate change

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce rozebírá téma Vody ve městě v kontextu současných klimatických změn z pohledu využití vodních zdrojů a zeleně v urbanizované krajině. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V první části řešené formou literární rešerše zkoumá současnou klimatickou situaci, vztah města a vody a přístupy modrozelené infrastruktury k adaptaci na změnu klimatu a snížení jejích dopadů. Druhá část aplikuje zjištěné poznatky na modelové území sídliště Vltava v Českých Budějovicích a doporučuje vhodná řešení pro tuto lokalitu pomocí příkladů současného stavu a navrhované změny.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis aims to clarify role of the Water in city in the context of climate change. It is speaking mainly about the use of water sources and green city spaces. The thesis consists of two parts. Firstly, it deals with a present climate situation, examine the relationship between a city and a water space or rainwater and the possibilities of adaptation and mitigation on climate change via blue and green infrastructure. In the second part, the thesis is taking in consideration gain knowledge to applicate it on a chosen area – Vltava housing estate in Ceske Budejovice, then it recommends suitable projects for this area, comparing the current state and suggested changes.
