In this bachelor thesis I am focusing on isoflavones as a phytoestrogene subgroup. They are polyphenolic secondary metabolites of plants. The theoretical part elaborates on information about isoflavones including their structure, occurrence, biosynthesis in plants and their metabolism, including their effect on human health, and it also characterises individual types of isoflavones. V tejto bakalárskej práci sa venujem podskupine fytoestrogénov, a to isoflavónom. Sú to polyfenolické sekundárne metabolity rastlín. Teoretická časť približuje informácie o isoflavónoch, ich štruktúru, výskyt, biosyntézu v rastlinách a ich metabolizmus, efekt na zdravie človeka a tiež charakterizuje jednotlivé typy isoflavónov.
