Cultural differences in UX/UI design

Abstract:

Cílem práce je vytvoření doporučení pro UI/UX design z pohledu kulturních rozdílů. Přínosem této práce je identifikovat specifické prvky jednotlivých kultur k UX/UI designu a pomoci porozumět, jak by mělo být k jednotlivým kulturám při tvorbě webdesignu přistupováno. Práce v teoretické části definuje základní pojmy jako je UI, UX a kultura. Rozděluje kultury světa podle zeměpisné polohy. Popisuje základní grafické prvky webového designu z pohledu kulturní plurality. V první části praktické části je za pomoci literární rešerše a vlastního pozorování webových stránek univerzit různých kultur vytvořeno doporučení, které prvky webového designu dané kultury využívají a je vytvořen přístup k multikulturní společnosti. Druhá část praktické části je věnována dotazníkovému šetření, které je provedeno kvantitativní metodou pomocí použití metody CMC. Dotazovaní jsou odlišných kultur.

Abstract:

The aim of the work is to create recommendations for UI/UX design from the point of view of cultural differences. The contribution of this work is to identify specific elements of individual cultures to UX/UI design and to help understand how to approach individual cultures when creating web design. The thesis in the theoretical part defines the basic concepts such as UI, UX and culture. It divides the cultures of the world according to geographical location. Describes the basic graphic elements of web design from the perspective of cultural plurality. In the first part of the practical part, with the help of literary research and own observation of the websites of universities of different cultures, a recommendation is made which elements of web design of a given culture use and an approach to a multicultural society is created. The second part of the practical part deals with the creation of a questionnaire. The questionnaire survey is performed by a quantitative method using the CMC method. Respondents are from different cultures.
