Charakteristics and perspective of uneployment insurance in Slovak Republic and Great Britain

Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis was focused on the characteristics, perspective and development of unemployment insurance in Slovakia and in the UK. The thesis presents knowledge’s of the social systems in both countries. The diploma work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter brings information about social systems and knowledge’s about institution that implemented the system. About the forms of social security and their possibilities, about how to get public support, their rate and conditions of application. The second chapter deals with the statistical value of the development of unemployment, the number of benefit recipients, and the amount of benefits and so on, during the period 2004 to 2009. It follows the problem of migration, the balance of payments and prognosis of future developments. The third chapter focuses on the comparison of the findings and made suggestions to address certain issues related to unemployment.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce bolo zhodnotiť štruktúru a dynamiku vývoja podsystému poistenia v nezamestnanosti ako neoddeliteľnej súčasti systému sociálnej poisťovne. Čiastkový cieľ bol zameraný na charakteristiku a perspektívu rozvoja poistenia v nezamestnanosti na Slovensku a vo Veľkej Británii. Práca prináša poznatky o sociálnom systéme obidvoch krajín. Jej súčasťou sú tri kapitoly. V prvej kapitole sú podané informácie o sociálnom systéme a inštitúcii, ktorá tento systém realizuje. O formách sociálneho zabezpečenia o jeho možnostiach, spôsobe získanie štátnej podpory, jej výšky a podmienok uplatnenia. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá štatistickými hodnota vývoja nezamestnanosti, počtu poberateľov dávky, výšky dávky a pod. v sledovanom období 2004 až 2009 v členení podľa krajín. Zároveň sa sleduje aj problematika migrácie, platovej bilancie a prognózy budúceho vývoja. Tretia kapitola je zameraná na komparáciu zistení a podáva aj návrhy na riešenie určitých problematík spojených s nezamestnanosťou.
