Vaccination against influenza in the Ústecký Region and the Central Bohemian Region

Abstract:

Úvod: Chřipka je závažné infekční virové onemocnění, které každoročně způsobí onemocnění u statisíce obyvatel a téměř dva tisíce úmrtí v České republice. Viry chřipky neustále cirkulují nejen mezi lidskou populací, ale i mezi živočišnými druhy. Toto onemocnění je charakteristické velmi rychlým přenosem mezi lidmi, které souvisí s vysokou nemocností a následně se zvýšeným počtem pracovní neschopností. I přes to, že se dá chřipce zabránit očkováním, proočkovanost obyvatel je pouze 5-6 %. Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, jak obyvatelé Ústeckého a Středočeského kraje smýšlí o vakcinaci proti chřipce, jaká je jejich informovanost o chřipce o vakcinaci proti chřipce a na základě zjištěných skutečností přispět k zvýšení informovanosti veřejnosti o očkování proti chřipce. Metodika: Byla použita kvantitativní metoda šetření. Dotazník byl distribuován respondentům prostřednictvím webové stránky survio.com. Soubor tvořili dospělí občané reprezentativních měst vybraných krajů (Litoměřice a Mělníka). Výsledky dotazníkového šetření byly statisticky vyhodnoceny a byl vytvořen edukační leták. Výsledky: Průzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 200 respondentů, z toho bylo 138 žen a 62 mužů. Nejčastěji dotazník vyplňovali respondenti ve věku 30-39 let. Z výsledků vyplývá, že 97 % občanů Litoměřic a Mělníka o očkování proti chřipce vědělo a nejvíce respondentů (34 %) se o této možnosti dozvědělo od praktického lékaře. 51,5 % respondentů považovalo chřipku za závažné onemocnění. 68,5 % respondentů vědělo o komplikacích chřipky a jako nejčastější zdroj informací uvedli internet. Pouze 37 % respondentů označilo očkování za prevenci před chřipkovým onemocněním. Zájem o očkování proti chřipce v souvislosti s pandemií COVID 19 se u 73,5 % respondentů nezvýšil. 65,5 % respondentů souboru se nikdy proti chřipce neočkovalo. Závěr: Častá bagatelizace chřipky má za následek podceňování očkování proti chřipce. Tím se snižuje možnost předejít chřipkovému onemocnění a zabránit chřipkovým epidemiím či pandemiím. Praktičtí lékaři a všeobecné sestry by měli svým pacientům poskytovat více informací o závažnosti chřipkového onemocnění a o možném očkování proti chřipkovému onemocnění, jako nejúčinnější volbou prevence před chřipkovým onemocněním.

Abstract:

Introduction: Influenza is a serious infectious viral disease that can cause disease in hundreds of thousands people and two thousand deaths in the Czech Republic every year. Influenza viruses are constantly circulating not only among the human population, but also between animals. This disease is characterized very rapid spread between people, which is associated with high morbidity and an increased many incompetents at work . Over that the flu can be prevented by vaccination, the vaccination of the population is about 5-6%. Aim: The aim of the bachelor 's thesis was to found how the inhabitants of the Ústí nad Labem and Central Bohemia thought about flu vaccination and how they are informated about flu and flu vaccination and after finding contribute to increase information the public about flu vaccination Methodology: A quantitative method was used. The questionnaire was distributed to respondents through the survio.com website. The group constituted adult citizens of representative cities (Litoměřice and Mělník). The results of the questionnaire survey, were statistics evaluated and after that was created educational leaflet. Results: 200 respondents took part in the survey. There were 138 women and 62 men. Respondents aged 30-39 most often took part in the questionnaire. The results show that 97% of the citizens of Litoměřice and Mělník knew about the flu vaccination and most (34%) of the respondents learned about this by a general practitioner. 51,5 % of respondents thought that flu is a serious illness. 68,5 % of respondents knew about the complications of the flu and the internet was most frequent source. Only 37 % of respondents get vaccination as prevention against influenza. Interest in influenza vaccination in connection with the COVID 19 pandemic did not increase in 73,5 % of respondents. 65,5 % of respondents have never been vaccinated against the flu Conclusion: Frequent trivialization of influenza can make underestimation of influenza vaccination. This reduces the ability to prevent flu and flu epidemics or pandemics. General practitioners and nurses should relay their patients more information on the effectuality of influenza and possible vaccination against influenza, as the most effective influenza prevention disease.
